Mercuryo and Bitget Wallet: the campaign for the USDC stablecoin
The current campaign signed by Mercuryo and Bitget Wallet is expected to promote the adoption of USDC, the second stablecoin by market capitalization.
In this regard, Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet stated:
“Stablecoins are now fundamental for the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the real world. The partnership with Mercuryo and Circle allows us to offer users a simple and transparent way to access USDC, in line with our mission to make cryptocurrencies practical and accessible to everyone.”
The Mercuryo on-ramp integration on Bitget Wallet allows users to purchase crypto using credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Not only that, the commission-free purchase of USDC is valid on all blockchains present in the non-custodial wallet, namely on Polygon, Near, Solana, Ethereum, Stellar, BNB Chain, Base, Avalanche, and Arbitrum.
The partnership with Coinbase
Last August, Mercuryo made headlines also for its partnership with Coinbase, with the goal of offering reduced fees for purchasing USDC on MetaMask.
Here too, at the center of the initiative, there seems to be the growing interest in stablecoins with the revolutionary offering that specifically concerns USDC.
Obviously, with Coinbase involved, the August offer was only about USDC on Base. In this case, however, the purchase fees were reduced by 50% instead of 100% as in the current September offer.
